Course Outline

This practitioner course is designed for those who would like to understand the principles and practice of astrology.

There are four key areas to the study of astrology, these being:

• Planetary Placements by Sign - Character and the process of transformation.
• Planetary Placements by House - The grounding or 'earthing' of archetypal energies.
• Planetary Aspects - Planetary archetypes in harmony and conflict.
• Transits - The prediction and timing of inner and outer events.

This first course will cover Planetary Placements by Sign and will cover off the following subjects.

• The Sun - Exploring our creative ability as described by our sun sign. How to evolve one's gifts - the heroes journey.
• The Moon - The Mother Archetype - What we need, and how we provide for others as described by our Moon sign.
• Mercury - How we understand the world around us as well as how we deceive ourselves.
• Venus - Our tastes and desires as described by our Venus sign.
• Mars - The nature of our will and sexual energy.
• Jupiter - How we grow and attain understanding according to Jupiter's placement.
• Saturn - How we defend, protect and suppress ourselves.
• Uranus, Neptune, Pluto - The Genius, the Mystic and the Shaman - Generational characteristics  as described by the placements of Uranus, Neptune and Pluto.
• The Ascendant - How our rising sign describes both our persona as well as our personal aspirations.
• The Mid-Heaven - How the mid-heaven characterises our vocation and calling in life.
